Final Scratch Open biedt je de totale vrijheid bij het kiezen van je dj software. Zo kun je ten aller tijde kiezen voor het pakket dat het beste bij je past. Basis van de set-up is de onvolprezen SratchAmp FireWire MIDI interface waarop legio MIDI controllers zijn aan te sluiten en die via FireWire communiceerd met de computer.
